I have completed my "Withered Rose" quilt. It originally had beads in the center (I showed pictures a couple of blog entries ago). I like it much better with the french knots.
I think you made the right decision about the beads. Now instead of your eyes being drawn to the beads, it's like discovering a nice surprise when you look at the quilt. I like quilts that give up extra information when you look more closely. Does that even make sense? lol
Hi Linda - Love the Withered Rose. It is another example of your wonderful way with fabrics. Outstanding. And I'm delighted you have started a blog so I can watch you at work.
On this blog you will find my latest textile art, my inspirations, and processes. I have always loved drawing, painting, sewing, and creating. I've been sewing nearly as long as I can remember. I majored in Computer Science in college, but took many painting and drawing classes as well. I started pursuing my art more seriously when I discovered that I could combine it with the quilting skills I had acquired. Textile art has been a wonderful way to combine many of things that I love.
