I had fun yesterday continuing my coloring experiment in actual paint. I am undecided whether I like the painted version better or not. I think I was hoping that the addition of color would breathe a bit of life into the composition, and give it more character. But it’s just the colored version of the old quilt.
On this blog you will find my latest textile art, my inspirations, and processes. I have always loved drawing, painting, sewing, and creating. I've been sewing nearly as long as I can remember. I majored in Computer Science in college, but took many painting and drawing classes as well. I started pursuing my art more seriously when I discovered that I could combine it with the quilting skills I had acquired. Textile art has been a wonderful way to combine many of things that I love.

I don't know....I think the piece has more dimension in it, now that you've painted it. I think you need to give it a chance. I like it.
Yes I like the added dimension the color gives the piece.
