Clam Cove II (15" x 10½") A few more minor changes to this piece this weekend, and then completed the quilting today. I have been reminded again how important contrast is to the success of a piece. I seem to be learning this lesson over and over again.
On this blog you will find my latest textile art, my inspirations, and processes. I have always loved drawing, painting, sewing, and creating. I've been sewing nearly as long as I can remember. I majored in Computer Science in college, but took many painting and drawing classes as well. I started pursuing my art more seriously when I discovered that I could combine it with the quilting skills I had acquired. Textile art has been a wonderful way to combine many of things that I love.

It looks great. HOw big is this piece? Just trying to get the scale.
Great editing; it's a skill I wish I had. I think you have a lovely, evocative piece. The name is perfect.
